Like many bloggers, I have comment moderation turned on here on Micro Persuasion. This prevents the spammers from polluting the air with their junk. I absolutely hate that I have to do this. It’s work for me to go in and authorize the good comments several times a day. Worse, it’s a conversation killer. Comment moderation and search must improve. Beyond coComment the state of the commentosphere is nowhere. I would love to see tools that let me authorize comments as they come in via my Blackberry. As the comment comes in, I can simply reply with a y or an n to authorize or decline. I want coComment to enable full-text searching of all the comments it’s capturing and also build an API so that developers can mine the data. We need innovation here. So why is it that no one is investing here? There’s gold in the commentosphere but everyone seems to relegate it to second-class status. Entrepreneurs, are you listening?
